Visionaries Unite!

It’s the time of the visionary as well as a time for visionaries to unite together in their common purpose. It is the time because our success as visionaries has never been more critical than during these crazy times.

Every place you look, people, are meeting the edges of old, outdated paradigms. In short, these old paradigms emphasizes win-lose rather than win-win. Visionaries unite around a win-win orientation.

The Basis of These Paradigms

The foundation of win-lose paradigms is fear and survival. They state that for me to survive, to get my needs met, and to be okay that I must be wholly focused on my personal needs. And many of the solutions that have come from that orientation are tainted with a base animalistic desire to get a leg up on others so that we are okay. While we have an animal nature, the promise of being human comes from engaging our hearts. We do this by intentionally engaging a win-win mindset.

The win-win paradigm offers a way forward that brings us together to create solutions that serve and involve all stakeholders. When we craft solutions from this perspective, we uplift the world and bring people together. And your success as a visionary is critical to this new way of being in the world. Again, this is where visionaries unite in support of a better world.

Learn to Use Your Greatest Superpower!

I defined what a visionary is as well as their key dilemmas in my last blog post. As a visionary, you must also look at your own set of beliefs that are colored by the old and dying win-lose paradigm. As one who sees new possibilities, you can also face the illusion that for your vision to succeed, someone else’s must perish.

In short, you can taint entire approach with the belief that it is about winning over those that are still plagued by the old paradigm. The question is – does this belief support your success or hinder it. I would argue it is the later. So, what’s the other choice?

As I say to my clients, many times, your greatest superpower as a human being is the use of your attention. What you focus on grows and what you do not pay attention to shrinks. So if you increase the relevance in your mind of thoughts that foster fear, doubt, and uncertainty you slow down your progress. Whenever you have ideas like this you must ask:

  • What am I believing and specifically what thoughts make up this belief?
  • Are these thoughts and beliefs supporting my quest?
  • If not, what must I believe and reinforce in my attention in support of my aspirations?

How Fear and Doubt Can Be Your Allies

That said, this is also not about sweeping fear under the carpet. I also encourage you to discover the core utility the fear and doubt you have for your path towards success. This cocktail of fear and doubt can prioritize what is most important to focus on now. For example, if tight money issues challenge you, you may need to do some problem-solving. If cash flow is a crucial concern, find a way to resolve that to the degree you must to keep moving things forward.

If the fear is you are overwhelmed and don’t have the support necessary to forward your vision, then the top plate concern is finding the talent essential to deliver the change are aiming to create in the world.

In my experience, there is always one to three top of mind issues visionary’s face at each stage of their journey. Most visionaries also tend to feel they have a thousand plates in the air. And if the challenges of fear and doubt feel overwhelming, I suggest two solutions that interconnect.

Solution One: Visionaries Unite

The first solution is to unite with other visionaries through our community. Finding a group in your city where other visionaries show up, will not only be huge for you, it will support your fellows to succeed, as well. Again, this is win-win. In short, as you find support, you will also find a way to support others.

If your area does not have a group specific to visionaries, find others who are like minded and create your own group. You can also locate your kind in any entrepreneurial network, incubator communities, technology councils, or similar groups.

The primary purpose of uniting with other visionaries is to put yourself in an environment that reinforces the kinds of beliefs that support your greater success. Moreover, you will find many practical solutions to critical issues you face in your quest in such communities.

Solution Two: Invest In Your Self

There are coaches and advisors out there who specialize in helping you add velocity on your journey. In my experience, visionaries get in their way not because they are missing an eloquent solution, it is because they have not come to know themselves well enough and thus are blind to tendencies that do not serve them. Finding a skilled advisor with a track record of helping other visionaries succeed can vastly reduce the time it takes for you to see the fruits of your vision.

The 80/20 rule applies here, and this rule of thumb states that 20 percent of what you do, results in 80 percent of your results. That means that much of what you do may be hindering your success! Even if its 50 percent, the investment you make in working with someone, so you stop taking distracting and unnecessary actions will be well worth it.

Conclusion

It’s time for visionaries to unite and be the solution finders to our most significant problems. These problems were generated from a misguided win-lose mindset. Visionaries live win-win.

Today’s visionary leaders must come together to support each other and be willing to take a hard look at their approaches for turning their visions into reality. Doing both ensure we will usher in a new world that is more connecting, uplifting and supportive to us all getting the most from life and achieving greater heights.
